What do I need a spiritual mentor for?
Dou you know these days..? You wake up from your peaceful slumber and reach for your phone. Within minutes, the peace evaporates as you are seeing images of violence, environmental destruction, economic disparity, and the wrong people getting into power . . . ads for overpriced sneakers and influencers posing for likes . . .
A slight headache arises as you sip on your morning coffee and quietly wonder, again:How am I, how is anybody, supposed to stay sane in the middle of all of this..?The fact that you feel overwhelmed from looking at the news, that you don’t know how to manage society’s demands and integrate them with your personal values, that you’re beginning to feel a discontent and unease with civilization in general and that you’re not sure if you could ever fit into the societally proposed way of life or even want to anymore… doesn't mean that anything at all is wrong with you!It doesn’t mean you’re too weak (even if there’s a baby boomer in your family trying to tell you otherwise), it doesn’t mean you’re crazy (even if your therapist just recommended a few additional months with them).All it means is:. . .that you belong to a group of people with heightened sensitivity who are tasked with seeing through our self-deceptions and waking humanity up from its slumber. You belong to the artists and seekers of the world, who are able to see it for more than it currently appears to be, who are holding a vision for a more beautiful world deep in their hearts - even if, right now, it might often get tucked away behind a protective layer of alienation, numbing and procrastination.The path of the seeker can often feel like a lonely one. And in a certain sense it is! Why do you call this The Deep Light?
The Deep Light is the source and center that binds all things together and constantly re-creates the energy that is necessary to sustain life. You may be using or have come across a bunch of different names for it:✧ Soul or Spirit
✧ (big-S) Self or Core Self or Authentic Self
✧ Consciousness or The Observer
✧ Chi / Qi or Life Force Energy
✧ God / Goddess or The Universe
✧ or the Inner Spark (as I personally like to refer to it in the context of the individual).It's the energy that cannot be destroyed, only transformed, and that fuels and permeates everything, including your own sweet self. It's our home and our destination and our one ever-renewing resource - all we need to do is learn how to actively tap into it.It's deep because it underlies all things and we sometimes need to do some digging to get back in touch with it, and it's light because when we do, we're often blessed with experiences of profound peace, love and even bliss.I'm also calling it The Deep Light because it alchemizes the polarity that pervades all earthly existence - we might not expect to find light down in the deep... but as one of the most influential spiritual explorers of modern times has put it:

Choosing your spiritual mentor is probably a 90/10-decision. 90% gut instinct, 10% mental assessment.

I'm certified in systemic coaching & mediation (= conflict resolution).
I started pulling (Western) philosophy books from the shelf when I was 11 years old.
I'm a regular meditator for over a decade now.
I'm a practicing & certified evolutionary astrologer.
I'm very familiar with many concepts of Buddhism and embrace them not just intellectually but as pillars of my embodied reality as well.
My friends will readily attest that I've been through my fair share of trials & tribulations and have risen from them brighter and more purposeful than ever before.
I am well-versed in Jungian psychology, especially the realm of archetypes.
I scout for new information, education, illumination and inspiration every day of my life because learning, truth-seeking and growing as a person is my edge, my hobby, my purpose and I just plain love it! 🤗
You'll find that I'm great at slicing through vagueness and allergic to any babble that could mean anything or nothing at all. I examine and test my spiritual tools with intellectual rigor and the critical mind of a Gemini Sun, Jupiter and Mercury. 😉 (That goes for astrology too, of course - a tool I value particularly for its ability to illuminate our understanding of archetypes. Whether or not we'll use it in your specific process is not pre-determined - we might take a glance at your chart at one point or it might not come up at all, it purely depends on your specific needs and preferences.)I'm also pretty good at not giving a f*** about what anybody whose business isn't concerned thinks and will be cheerleading you on to do the same. The road to spiritual alignment is the same road as the one leading to alignment with your Authentic Self (and any "spiritual" faction that tells you otherwise is misleading and a potential threat for your mental health, in my opinion).Most importantly though, I'm a deep & empathetic listener with over 2 decades of experience as a spiritual seeker who's come a long way in deciphering the rules of the game of life.My inner peace is not easily shaken anymore - probably the clearest sign that the understanding I've formed over the years just works. It allows me to reliably & consistently answer the questions that arise as I move through the ups and downs of life. . . - and I wouldn't offer you this service if I wasn't convinced that I can help you find some answers, too! Not by just dishing them out to you, but by gently guiding you towards the most fruitful questions and perspectives, so that we move closer and closer to the deep light that is your truth right at the center of your own inner being.
